Paste a public article, newsletter page, or public YouTube video; upload supported PDFs, EPUBs, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, text, Markdown, and subtitle files; or follow RSS and Atom sources in the reading workspace. The browser extension can open or save the page you invoke it on. OPML and supported imports from established reading, highlighting, bookmark, and note tools help you bring existing material. Compatibility still depends on readable source content and the stated upload limit.

Summaries and article chat use the extracted source currently in the reader. Citation-enabled answers link supporting claims back to passages, and answers distinguish source claims from inference. You can ask about the whole source, a selected passage, or a saved highlight; translate the article; or create a mind map, quiz, and restartable flashcards. When extraction is incomplete, smry says so. The source remains authoritative, so important conclusions should still be checked against it.

smry removes page chrome, cookie banners, and unrelated navigation while keeping the original title, author, publication, images, links, and source URL when available. Choose a comfortable font, text size, measure, and light, dark, high-legibility, or reader themes. The reader supports keyboard navigation, visible focus, right-to-left text, mobile layouts, a one-word-at-a-time speed reader, and progressive text-to-speech with adjustable speed and word-level highlighting. Follow RSS and Atom feeds inside the same reading workspace, discover new sources, and organize subscriptions into collections and saved views. Create web monitors that turn webpage changes into followed sources, and import or export subscriptions with OPML. Free supports up to 100 feeds, Patron up to 1,000, and Pro up to 25,000.

Agents can read and search token-budgeted article sections; search saved items, notes, highlights, and original files; manage reading history; and use feeds and web monitors. Public web reading still needs no account, while authenticated API and MCP access is available on Patron and Pro with a key.
