Having all this time to think about what’s happened is hard. I’m keeping busy and trying to get on with things as normally as possible. Luckily, Taylor and I have a huge amount of support around us.” Jamie first revealed his treatment at the hands of the BBC and the show’s production team Hungry Bear Media, which is headed up by former This Morning host Holly Willoughby’s husband Dan Baldwin, to us last week.  He claimed Dan, 50, told him Taylor’s job was a child safeguarding risk – but Jamie refutes this and insists the reaction from parents of kids who watch the show says it all.  “I’ve had a lot of messages from parents saying their children are so upset that I’m leaving the show,” he said. “I feel as though the response from the parents has made it really clear that it was never going to be an issue.” Summing up the reaction from Gladiators fans, he continued: “It’s just been an upset.  “I would use the word disgust as well because a lot of people said how unfair it is. They loved Giant and they obviously love the show.” For Jamie, it’s hard to accept that he’s lost his dream job when he’s done nothing but play by the rules.  He said: “There’s nothing in our contracts about who you’re allowed to be with, who you’re allowed to love or what relationships you’re allowed to have away from the show.  Not having the choice to share our relationship has been sad Jamie Biggs “They were aware of my relationship with Taylor before I mentioned we’d like to go more public.  “I’ve since found out that there were talks behind the scenes after this which resulted in me being given the ultimatum.” The shock move from show bosses has left Jamie’s co-stars blindsided and he credits them for being “amazing” during this difficult time. He said: “I’ve been doing the show now for three years and we’ve all been very good friends for all this time. She added: “A 13 year life doesn’t just disappear because something new feels exciting. “Home, family, kids, dogs, the version of me that held things together for years – that doesn’t just switch off because someone else is now being shown.” And, while Jamie has no regrets about choosing Taylor, he is furious with the BBC for taking the decision to reveal their relationship away from them.  He said: “We’re madly in love.  “But having the ability to share our relationship with everyone else was something that we were very much looking forward to doing in our own way. Not having that choice is very sad.”
