# Naga Munchetty's BBC Breakfast replacement 'sealed' as familiar face set for job

Naga Munchetty's BBC Breakfast replacement is 'sealed' (Image: BBC) Naga Munchetty ’s BBC Breakfast replacement could be sealed in a “fairly closed race” – with one existing star already odds-on to take Naga’s place alongside Charlie Stayt on Thursdays and Fridays. Naga is departing the show for a job on BBC 5 Live Breakfast after a tumultuous few months.
She said: “It has been a privilege to be part of the BBC Breakfast TV team for the past 17 years, working alongside an incredibly talented and hard-working group of journalists who are not only outstanding colleagues but also great friends.
“Presenting a flagship programme on 5 Live is an opportunity that was simply too good to pass up. It will take a huge amount of work and require 100% of my focus and energy, and I'm really looking forward to throwing myself into the role.”

 Now, according to Ladbrokes, the odds are here on who exactly could take Naga’s seat, with Sally Nugent the clear frontrunner at 6/4.
She’s closely followed by BBC star Luxmy Gopal at 5/2. The BBC News presenter has appeared as a stand-in on Breakfast on several occasions, as well as presenting Look North and London News.
Emma Vardy comes in at 3/1 odds. The award-winning BBC correspondent has appeared on Breakfast as a relief host and as the business presenter, so she knows her way around the studio.

 Sally Nugent is the clear frontrunner (Image: BBC) At 9/2 odds is Nina Warhurst, who quit Breakfast for a job as lead presenter on BBC News at One – but she could return to take Naga’s vacated spot.
Sarah Campbell comes in at 6/1 odds.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told Express.co.uk: “ Naga Munchetty 's exit will leave BBC chiefs turning to a familiar face, if the latest odds are anything to go by - and as things stand it's unsurprisingly Sally Nugent who heads the betting."
