# Consumers

> Let smry hold the read position for a processing loop.

A Consumer is a saved predicate plus a checkpoint smry keeps for you, so a scheduled agent stores nothing.

| `POST /v1/feeds/consumers` | Create a managed feed consumer |
| `GET /v1/feeds/consumers` | List managed consumers with pending counts |
| `POST /v1/feeds/consumers/{id}/ack` | Acknowledge a managed consumer batch |
| `DELETE /v1/feeds/consumers/{id}` | Delete a managed feed consumer |

Use a Consumer for an unattended loop. Manage the cursor yourself when your client already has somewhere to put it.
